Recordings:
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE with Gary Lucas "Recorded at Artefax Studios in Lausanne, this album brings together two world class avant-guitar masters, Gary Lucas and the Swiss guitarist Gerald Zbinden, for a soundclash of epic proportions. The pair met in Saint Petersburg Russia at the 2004 SKIF Festival where they immediately bonded, and vowed to come together for an improvisatory studio session that would display the full panoply of their guitar styles in a voyage into uncharted sonic realms. The result is "Down the Rabbit Hole", a glorious panopticon of refractory post-modern guitar as viewed through the lens of Lucas and Zbinden's protean shape-shifting, kaleidoscopic music and 6-string sorcery. The pair conjures up images of blasted lunar landscapes, melting arctic icecaps, volcanic molten eruptions from the earth's core. Joining them on some tracks are the peripatetic polyrhythms of free-jazz drummer Marcel Papaux."

Emilie Lesbros (Vocals)
France

|
After studying the violin for 10 years, fascinated by the voice, Emilie Lesbros enters the conservatory and begins studying jazz and classical singing.
Passionately interested in these two vocal techniques, she also experiments with different styles (baroque, contemporary, electronic music, experimental rock...) and, wanting to utilise the whole range of these experiences, starts to search for her musical and vocal personality.
She starts to find and develops her personal vocabulary in 2002, when she works with Barre Phillips and Lionel Garcin on improvised and experimental music.
Meeting these accomplished musicians, coupled with her travels around the world enable her to widely explore her voice and lead her to find her own solo vocal in 2005.
She tells stories with or without words, through matter and sound projection, with humor, gravity and emotion...
Today she participates in numerous creative and improvisational projects that suit her language: collaborations with, collective EMIR, Raymond Boni, Daunik Lazro, Hélène Breschand, Fantazio, David Allen, Giorgio Rossi, Eve Risser, Catherine Jauniaux, Geneviéve Sorin, Archaos ...
She is also the singer of the experimental rock group Rosa, as well as Fonétic, which specialises in destructured jazz with contemporary harmonies.
