The Duo gotico from Barcelona was formed in the early nineties when Francisco Gamallo and Ignacio Lopez met. Their duet took them on tour through South America and Europe. They have specialized in the interpretation of the Spanish classical repertoire and popular Latino-American music.
Francisco and Ignacio are also remarkable musicians enhancing tango, milango, son, guaguanco and choro; thus, they played many concerts and recorded a lot in Cuba, Brazil and Argentina with specialists like Eduardo Martin, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Anibal Arias, Dino Saluzzi and Juan Falu.
The Duo gotico is well acquainted with Festivals. Among others, they participated in the famous International world-wide guitar Festival of Argentina, the International Music Festival of Guatemala, the International guitar Festival of Perou and the one of Cuba. In 2004, they participated in the First Contemporary Music Festival of Lima. They also toured in Europe.
In 2003, Francisco and Ignacio started the Barcelona Guitar Ensemble and now tour in Europe as well as in South America.
